The Presynct welcomes internationally acclaimed Jamaican-born Michael St George for a special night of roots reggae, dub poetry, rhythm and powerful storytelling.

Born in Portland, Jamaica and raised in Kingston, Michael St George is a poet, singer, songwriter and renowned dub performance artist whose music brings together roots reggae, spoken word, world rhythms and jazz, carrying messages of social justice, connection, universal love and positive change.  

With a career spanning decades and continents, Michael has performed and collaborated with artists across Jamaica, Canada and Australia, including OKA, Dennis Bovell, Earl “Chinna” Smith and Ollie McGill of The Cat Empire. In Australia, he has toured with OKA, collaborated on their The Sunset Sessions, performed at the Sydney Opera House and was the closing act at GARMA 2017.  

Joining Michael are Sunshine Coast special guests ROOTS N BLOOM -  a collective of women brought together through music, culture and community. Their beautiful vocal harmonies, global influences and heartfelt storytelling create music centred around connection, joy and belonging.  

Together, Michael St George and Roots N Bloom make this a night built around reggae, roots, soul and community - uplifting live music with something to say.
