Sad Bots - Mixed Emotions
Sad Bots were supposed to be a post grunge love letter to dysfunctional states of being, but as life will have it, further extrapolation of the concept revealed that a widely nuanced range of emotions were inescapable. Damn. We were trying to keep things simple. Now we find that this representation of the human condition (in song form across 45 mins) wades onto a potholed road scape of cathartic ascents into euphoria followed by atmospheric dips into the poetry of melancholy. Who would have thought there’d be redemption in the hills? The term ‘high falutin bullshit’ comes to mind as I read this, but we have a song for that too.
At the time of writing, Minibus and Lovely Boys espouse both pure rock and roll punk-adjacent slacker garage values in boom slap catchy odes and jaunts. Come and see their infectious abilities crystallised in hit song form alongside the above mentioned Sad Bots, at The Bergy Bandroom.
