WoodHill is a three-piece rock outfit from Cronulla, Sydney, carving their own lane within the modern grunge revival. The band formed in 2021 when its members Flynn, Max, and Noah were just 14 years old, and shared love of heavy riffs, raw emotion, and high-energy songwriting. Driven and ambitious from the start, WoodHill entered the studio a year later to record their debut album “Honey Covered Razor Blades”, at just 15 years old. A bold move that set the tone for the band’s relentless work ethic and early growth.
Over the past few years, WoodHill has evolved from young local newcomers to one of Sydney’s most exciting emerging live acts. Their sound blends the nostalgic punch of 90s grunge with a contemporary edge, creating songs that feel both familiar and refreshingly new. On stage, their performances burst with intensity, earning them opportunities to open for respected Australian acts such as The Southern River Band, Hockey Dad, Spy v Spy and Mi-Sex. Alongside these support slots, WoodHill has also sold out multiple headline shows across Sydney, building a passionate and expanding fanbase.
Now at 19, the band enters a new creative era. After long year without releasing music, WoodHill is preparing to reintroduce themselves with a refined sound, greater maturity, and a new wave of songs that highlight just how far they’ve come since their beginnings.
