Clairaudience ’Clueless Hitchhiker’ Album Launch
Melbourne's Clairaudience celebrate the release of their long-awaited new album 'The Clueless Hitchhiker' with a very special two-set launch show at the Bergy Bandroom.
Forged from decades of family, friendship and shared musical history, Clairaudience: Daniel Jumpertz (guitar/vocals), Caroline Jumpertz (drums), Mick Jumpertz (bass) and Chris Smales (lead guitar), bring a rare depth and cohesion to everything they do. Daniel and Chris's 50-year friendship alone speaks to the kind of bond that can't be manufactured.
The Clueless Hitchhiker is a richly melodic exploration of modern alienation, fragmented identity and the search for connection. Drawing on the jangly intelligence of The Go-Betweens, the raw swagger of 70s Stones, the hooks of classic power pop, R.E.M.'s atmospheric folk-rock, and the angular cool of early Talking Heads and Television, the album is resolute, visceral and - above all - gloriously melodic.
Joining them for the night are My Imaginary Friend, purveyors of hazy slowcore and dream pop, plus magician Liam 'LJ' Jumpertz, bringing his own brand of illusion to the evening.
Doors open early. Don't miss it.
