Overthinker - 'You're Surrounded By People Who Love You" EP Launch
Join Overthinker for the release of their debut EP ‘You’re Surrounded By People Who Love You’. A six track collection of odes to friends, suburban heartache and the will to stay kind in an unkind world. Produced by Jarred Chappell (Plovers,) Overthinker will be launching on April 25th at Shotkickers. Come be surrounded by people who love you.
Fronted by Sam Van Munnen, known for his arms-wide-open songwriting, kinetic live performance and touting a line up of the city’s most talented and most seasoned players, Overthinker shows are like a warm hug and they are coming to a backyard or beer garden near you.
Joining them, are Naarm/Melbourne based energetic and undeniably fun, pop-rock unit, Grass Stains. Inspired by the trials and tribulations of meaningless jobs, complicated relationships, long coffee orders and making poor decisions, Grass Stains explores themes of strength, curiosity, and perseverance, often writing about real life experiences. Reflecting on the queer-diaspora experience, untangling the wires of your brain and the nuances of daily life, Grass Stains are figuring out the key to happiness one show at a time.
Also in support is The Flying So High-Os; a four-piece Hard Folk outfit from Melbourne, Australia. Known for their verbose and heartfelt songwriting with a little folk punk grit, The Flying So High-O’s are always a rare and precious treat to see live.
Rounding out the supports, hot off the heels of supporting Josh Pyke, is Castlemaine’s own - singer/songwriter extraordinaire Kelsie Paige Rimmer. Kelsie has won the hearts of music lovers nationwide over the last decade with her melancholy yet mesmerising sound. Formerly the lead singer of Damaged Goods Club, Kelsie is best known for her vulnerable lyrics, heartfelt storytelling, and unique ethereal voice.
