MOONWOOD - 'Kick In The Shine' EP Release
Buddy’s Bar Newtown (Newtown, NSW)
Friday, 20 November 2026 7:30 pm
Five mates from Sydney's Inner West who started MOONWOOD in 2020 and have been turning rooms into rooms-on-fire ever since. The sound is widescreen — somewhere between Gang of Youths gut-punch and the rhythmic strut of LCD Soundsystem, with the arena ache of Kings of Leon and the heart-on-sleeve drive of Bruce Springsteen.
Two EPs deep with a third on the way, the band has built a name on the local circuit for live shows that go from a slow burn to a full-room singalong before anyone clocks what's happening. Confrontational where it has to be. Hopeful where it counts.
New EP Kick In The Shins drops 2026.
