Get ready for a huge night of original Sydney rock at the Marrickville Bowling Club, bringing together four exciting acts that showcase the depth, diversity and energy of the local music scene.

Headlining the evening are Necko, a powerhouse trio whose sound channels the spirit of classic 1970s arena rock with soaring guitar solos, undeniable hooks and dynamic performances. Fresh from the release of their ARIA charting second EP Necko II, the three Sydney boys will glide from a whisper to a roar with Alek Necko’s delicate falsetto and vintage wail, Reno Torrisi’s explosive drumming, and Alex Damon’s dextrous bass and keys tap-dance.

Joining them are Angel V Animal, an alt-rock, punk, grunge and riot grrrl outfit combining a passion for social change with a high energy sound that also explores dark, ethereal themes and soundscapes. They merge poetic and thought provoking lyrics with melodic song structures, and blend punk inspired activism with a DIY aesthetic.

Also on the bill are Cross Pollinate, a four-piece indie rock band whose sound draws from grunge, surf rock and classic alternative influences. Packed with loud guitars and catchy melodies, they are carving out their own lane in the Sydney indie rock scene through honest music and chaotic energy.

Opening the night are Simon Hodges and The Department, who sound balances thoughtful songwriting with a spirit that evokes 90s alternative rock. Whether they’re delivering a politically charged anthem or a glorious lament to inertia, they're sure to give an engaging performance.

Four bands, one stage and a night of Sydney rock.
