This August, Cosmo’s Midnight grace Australian stages for a rare run of headline shows across Melbourne, Sydney, Perth and Brisbane, marking their first national tour in several years.

Widely regarded as one of Australia’s most influential electronic acts, twin brothers Cosmo and Patrick Liney continue to evolve alongside their sound intersecting electronic production with groove-driven songwriting. Their work is defined by an instinctive balance between experimentation and emotional clarity, underpinned by a musical dialogue that has only grown sharper with time.

Across acclaimed releases including What Comes Next (2018), the ARIA-nominated Yesteryear (2020), and their most recent album Stop Thinking, Start Feeling (2024), Cosmo’s Midnight have consistently expanded their sonic world. Evolving from DIY beginnings into globally minded producers, they have embraced richer live instrumentation and deeper rhythmic complexity while maintaining the warmth and immediacy that first drew listeners in.

The past 12 months have marked a particularly prolific and high-impact period for the duo. They have released a run of collaborations spanning electronic, soul and pop, working with artists from HONNE and The Bamboos to Warrior Queen, reinforcing their reputation as versatile and in-demand collaborators. Their single ‘45’ has become one of the most played tracks on triple j over the past seven months, signalling a moment of widespread crossover and renewed visibility.

This tour signals a return to the stage that feels both timely and intentional. These shows offer a rare opportunity to experience Cosmo’s Midnight in a more immediate live setting, foregrounding connection, musicianship and atmosphere.

As ever, Cosmo’s Midnight propel themselves forward without standing still. Curious, collaborative and constantly refining what Australian electronic music can sound and feel like on a world stage.
