Incident on Route 31 - Autopharge, Niche & Bombed!
What happened on that cold May night 50 years ago on Route 31?
Rhythmic headlights drift north into darkness, south toward civilisation. Clattering trams disappear into the Brunswick mist. Passing motorists glimpse empty factories, lonely shopfronts and the occasional rugged-up pedestrian leaning into the wind. Along Sydney Road, yellow-lit pub windows glow against the night — promises of noise, warmth and strange encounters within.
But somewhere along Route 31, something else happened.
A hidden disturbance.
A night of pure audio intensity.
On Saturday 23 May 2026, the Incident on Route 31 returns to The Bergy.
Bombed! bring raw energy, sharp edges and the kind of reckless live momentum perfectly suited to sticky floors and dim lights. Expect noisy hooks, punk urgency and the constant feeling things could derail at any moment — in the best possible way.
Niche mix driving rhythms, jagged guitars and satirical observations about modern life into a dark post-punk/new wave haze. Their songs move between humour, anxiety and social decay without ever losing their hypnotic groove.
Autopharge close the night with high-energy, guitar-driven chaos — massive riffs, pounding drums and poetic screams about the idiocy of modern existence, occasionally pierced by moments of sweet, sweet angst.
Three bands. One tram line. One unexplained incident.
