Yalingbila Whale Tours
With Quandamooka Festival 2026, Yalingbila Tours will once again be on the water. Yalingbila is the Quandamooka People’s Jandai (traditional language) name for whale. Whale watching is one of the main attractions on Minjerribah. More than 28,000 migrating whales pass within 10 kilometres of the coastline from June to November every year. Traditional Custodians guide the tours and share their knowledge and cultural connection to whales and natural environment.
The tours will recommence in a partnership between QYAC and Lady Musgrave Experience, departing from Pulan (Amity Point) taking guests out onto Quandamooka Sea Country to witness the annual migration of Yalingbila and learn about Quandamooka Culture.
Leaving from Amity Point Jetty, public transport from QUAMPI Arts and Cultural Centre to Amity Point available at certain times.
If weather does not allow for a safe trip, the tour will be cancelled and a full refund will be allocated.
Patrons are required to be present at the jetty 20 minutes before departure.
