THE VEIL return to The Bendigo Hotel to launch their long-awaited new album, Departures.

Showcasing the band’s signature sound that effortlessly combines Post-Punk and Doom Metal with moments of Shoegaze beauty and Black Metal catharsis, Departures is an inventive and inspired work and a bold new step for Australian underground music.

Debuting their powerful, dynamic new lineup in early 2025, the band have been building momentum with a run of well received live dates and are at new peak on stage and in the studio.

NONTINUUM: Founded in 2010, Nontinuum began as a bedroom recording project rooted in atmospheric and depressive Black Metal. The debut demo, Dwelling In Oceans, was released soon after through Misanthropic Art Productions.

In 2012, Nontinuum made its live debut at Devil's Arcana Festival. Later that year, the band released its first full-length album, The Stars You Gathered, The Stars I Destroyed, which gained international underground attention before Nontinuum quietly disappeared in 2013.

More than a decade later, the original core line-up reunited for a special performance at Essence Festival in 2025 and are now working on the long-awaited follow-up to The Stars You Gathered, The Stars I Destroyed.

OAR: Sydney atmospheric Black Metal band Oar craft a potent sound that shifts between tranquility and raw intensity. Heavily infused with Death and Doom elements, the band create haunting passages that surge into ferocious, unrelenting power. Their music balances bleak aggression with introspection, placing equal weight on mood and power while pushing the boundaries of the genre.

Emerging from the underground, Oar gained attention with their debut and continue to build momentum. With new vocalist Matthieu Van den Brande (also of Golgothan Remains) they are now finalising their second album.

BRUXIST: Originally conceived as a Crust Punk/D-Beat band by Australian metal veterans Terry Vainoras, Dan Nahum, and Dav Byrne, Bruxist quickly came to encompass a wider palette of sound, taking in Stockholm Death Metal, dirty old rock'n'roll, and even moments of frigid Black Metal - while maintaining the runaway-freight-train sense of danger that informed the project in its inception.

With a shared pedigree of over half a century of extreme music making, the trio are having a blast making filthy, real, kinetic music.

A debut album was recorded with the infamous Jason Fuller at Goatsound in the last blast of summer 2024 and subsequently released on cassette and CD by Australian extreme label Gutter Prince Cabal.
