The Junk Bar Presents: Sam Buckley
To celebrate the legendary Blues on Broadbeach Festival, The Junk Bar is thrilled to present roaring Aussie Blues artist, Sam Buckley.
Sam has spent the last 2.5 years living in his motorhome touring up and down the east coast of Australia, bringing his love of Blues to anyone and everyone he can. With over two decades of performance and service to the music industry, Sam Buckley is carving his own path and carrying his passion for Blues to audiences around the world. Two of his debut singles, Blue Ocean and Rock Me Baby, stormed into the AMRAP Top 10 Regional Chart and recieved international radio play in London, Canada and the USA. Sam's album features industry luminary Lester Snell and some of the original Stax players from Memphis - their parts were recorded at the one and only Royal Studios. Many of you might know Sam as the lead guitarist from highly regarded Blues bands Anni Piper and Dreamboogie - Dreamboogie won with Melbourne Blues Competition and respresented Victoria in the 2016 IBC Blues Challenge Semi-Final.
Since launching his solo show, Sam has featrueted at the last 3 Tamworth Country Music Festivals, Big Chill Festival, Cronulla Jazz and Blues Festival, Bellingen Blues Festival and supported Ash Grunwald (twice), Ray Beadle and Katie Noonan on their tours.
Sam was the front cover feature for Found Regional Magazine. He is officially endorsed by National Music and Elixir Strings and he is also the feature guitarist for Canadian music publication, Riff Culture.
