Dylan’s Omens are the explosive new rock quartet infecting Australia’s music scene. Born out of the solo work of frontman and songwriter Dylan Cosgriff, the band came together after more than a year’s-worth of lineup changes from 2022 to 2024.
After their 2021 debut album Tailing Naivsag - a concept album written, recorded, mixed, and mastered entirely by Cosgriff himself - Cosgriff began constructing the band that would play it live. After reaping almost no success, he relocated to Melbourne, whereupon he met drummer Nic Murray and guitarist Tom Steele on bass, who had previously relocated from Port Macquarie to Melbourne to study music. Soon after, bassist Logan Byrne - ex-bandmate of Murray and Steele - also moved to Melbourne, becoming the final instalment of Dylan’s Omens. The band then proceeded to ravage Melbourne’s rock scene with their unforgettable performance presence, eruptive energy, on-stage antics and musical virtuosity.
While constructing the band, Cosgriff released the three singles ‘Cherry Socks,’ ‘Lyélum’s Lake,’ and ‘Grindhead,’ all predecessors of their sophomore concept album, currently in production.
