US multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and producer CLAIRO has announced her return to our shores in 2020, bringing her captivating live show to cities around Australia this April and May.
Following last year’s stand-out Laneway Festival set and sold-out sideshows, the dream-pop sensation’s star continues to rise.
2019’s stellar debut album Immunity cemented Clairo as a global force of indie pop, the record marrying her DIY roots with sophisticated production that took in trip-hop, indie-rock and hymns.
Clairo’s unique brand of dream-pop sees intimate confessions laid delicately over washed out textures and clean beats. Since first experiencing viral fame with the sardonic smash ‘Pretty Girl’, she has more than proved her skills, following up with self-produced smashes ‘Flaming Hot Cheetos’ and ‘4EVER’.
As well as touring with Tyler, The Creator; Khalid and Dua Lipa, Clairo has appeared at Coachella, Lollapalooza and Pitchfork Music Fest, and delivered gob-smacking performances on Ellen and Jimmy Kimmel Live. Audiences in the US will soon be treated to her live set when she supports Tame Impala on their upcoming tour.
“Mic in hand, she’s a star in control of a huge crowd. With guitar, an introspective indie rock dream.” – triple j
