Ramble Records presents:
SPAWN + PAUL KIDNEY EXPERIENCE + THE ELECTRIC GUITARS
Shotkickers (Thornbury, VIC)
Friday, 10 July 2026 8:00 pm
Ramble Records presents a double headline night of doom, and experimental psych with two heavyweights of psychedelia Spawn and Paul Kidney Experience, suitably supported by the hard-driving space rock quarter The Electric Guitars.
Spawn recently released their debut studio album Light Rite to great acclaim https://theobelisk.net/obelisk/tag/spawn-light-rite/ on Ramble /WV Sorcerer Productions in 2025 and continue to inspire audiences with their unique brand of heavy stoner doom and Eastern psych. Live performances are transcendental where heaviness becomes clarity, and noise becomes light.
While experimental psych time travellers Paul Kidney Experience (https://daily.bandcamp.com/album-of-the-day/paul-kidney-experience-paul-kidney-japanese-experience-review ) recently released Paul Kidney Japanese Experience (Ramble /WV Sorcerer Productions) with legendary musicians Mitsuru Tabata (Acid Mothers Temple, Boredoms, Green Flames, 20 Guilders, etc.) and Masami Kawaguchi (New Rock Syndicate, Keiji Haino & The Hardy Rocks, Usurabi, Miminokoto, Broomdusters.

Opening the evening are The Electric Guitars...the perfect underscore to get the evening started with their driving guitar-driven spacerock. With Dave Gray (Rocket Science) on bass, Richard Walsh (The Gruntled, The Interstellar Villains) on guitar and vocals, Craig Darryl ’Skull’ McPeade (2 Litre Dolby) on drums and Ben Michell on guitar, the four-piece has released 3 LPs, and a single of ethereal psychedelic brilliance.
