Return To Rio Presents: Pop-Up NYD Festival ft. Dusky & Anthony Pappa - Byron Bay

We’re kicking the year off in a big way. Yes, we’re back at the Arts Factory, but we’re taking things up a notch with a Pop-Up NYD Festival. And we’re bringing in the big guns: Dusky and Anthony Pappa, plus a ridiculous line-up of some of the best DJs in Australia. 

There’s no doubt that London Duo, Dusky — with their uniquely universal appeal — have earned their title as leaders of the UK Underground. They’ve headlined everywhere from Berlin’s Panorama Bar to London’s Fabric, achieved cult status with definitive house banger, Careless and have just released their brand-new album Signals on Anjunadeep. Can you tell we’re excited?!

Our good friend and industry icon, Anthony Pappa needs no introduction. Known as “The DJs, DJ”, he’s a true master of his craft and you’ll struggle to find someone who can seamlessly move across genres as well as he can. Whatever style he plays, Pappa makes it his own and reminds us why he’s the best in the business. 

Adding even more sparkle to this stellar line-up are some of our favourite selectors and Rio regulars: Abel Toro, Butters, OLIIV, Mark Craven & Ricky Cooper. And we’re so excited to welcome Inde Ghiglione for her Rio debut. 

Expect two stages, tropical garden vibes, performers, market stalls and a Mexican Cantina. Plus, the best start to 2027 you could wish for.
