Oscars Law & One Little Indian Enterprises proudly  present,  Dogapalooza,  Melbourne’s  first  dog-friendly  (and  hands  down  most adorable)  music  festival,  is  back  for  its  trilogy  edition  on  Sunday November  12th  on  the  grassy  knolls  of  Richmond’s Burnley Park.

For those  who  are  tighter  than  a  Maltese  top  knot, sadly  our Early Dog Tickets (the dirt cheap ones) have sold out. Our Second Release tickets are now officially ON SALE. (We note, we do not sell tickets to dogs. Dogs are free, because they don’t have jobs or credit cards).

This adorable boutique festival is a quintessential love fest of dogs (for dog owners and their dog coveting friends). After last years sold out attendances, increased production along with a bigger, better and faster stage fronted by RTR, more dog washing stations provided by Blue Wheelers and a Moon Dog Brewery Bar. Dogapalooza are very pleased to announce our first fine artists to the line up:

LANKS

Lanks is the moniker of Australian songwriter, producer and multi-instrumentalist Will Cuming. Although drawing influences from artists such as MØ, Mura Masa, The xx, Justin Vernon and Radiohead, LANKS doesn’t imitate. His adventurous exploratory songs are total earworms - boasting strong hooks, melodies, and danceable beats. LANKS’ live show is dynamic. “I was expecting serene prettiness, and I got SUPREME ENERGY.” Max Quinn,Triple J. Accompanied by a three piece band with live and electronic instrumentation : guitar, synths, piano/keyboard, drums, backing vocals, laptop, and the occasional flute cameo. LANKS has supported Glass Animals, Toro Y Moi, RUFUS and Ry X, and performed at Groovin’ the Moo and The Plot festivals.

HAYDEN CALNIN of everything from folk through Hayden’s music explores the realms to  downbeat  electro,  drawing  comparisons to artists    such as M83, Bon  Iver  and  James  Blake.  Driven  by  his  knack  for  heartfelt  storytelling  and impressive vocal range, Hayden’s sound remains faithful to that late night vibe, while bringing forward his melodic side. Hayden has received significant attention across major international blogs and radio, played sold out shows in Australia and the UK plus toured with the likes of Matt Corby, Tom Odell and The Antlers. His songs have been placed on popular TV shows such as Suits and the Oscar nominated film Room. “His yearning vocals are very much in the Bon Iver mould amid the subtle meeting of  folk and  electronica….’Cut  Love’  had me so  immersed in  all It’s intricacies that it was over before I knew it, leaving me wanting more.” – Indie Shuffle

All proceeds raised at Dogapalooza go to Oscar’s Law, Melbourne’s dog rescue groups: Stafford Rescue Victoria, Greyhound Rescue Victoria, Mel-bourne Animal Rescue and Puppy Tails Rescue. “We like to consider our-selves as the Robin Hoods of event management, bringing the best possible, while making sure we raise funds for our beneficiaries”. Event Manager Abby Gee said Dogapalooza is a lay-about-in-the-sun and take-it-down-a-notch offering, behold the wonder as a thousand dogs make friends and influence people to a soundtrack of Melbourne’s finest artists and Spring’s sunshine. These furry inner city hipsters (and their owners) have access to top notch ethical food offerings (including Dogapalooza’s own in-house pie stall, trekked all the way from Bondi), Rice & Dice, Waffle and Shake, Moon Dog Brewery as well as the dog loving stalls of our beneficiary rescue groups and bespoke vendors including Pethaus, Dogsbody Massage, Found & Hound, Hunter & Hound, and a doggo’s very own food truck Canine Wellness Kitchen.

Official limited edition merchandise is available on site, as well as the Uber exciting inaugural  Dogapalooza Awards with categories including “best inner city hipster” and “quiet achiever”, for those of you who want to establish a social hierarchy, amongst the other owners at the dog park.

All Ages. Concessions/Students must bring relevant ID to present at the Dogapalooza entry/box office
