Brisbane band PocketLove is ready to shake the establishment and the dance floor with the release of its new single ‘Stand Up’ at the Zoo on 1 September.

Fresh from recording with New York Future Soul producer, Tariq Khan (Blue Note, Universal, Marcus Strickland, Brandee Younger, BigYuki, Bilal), PocketLove wants Brisbane to be the first to hear the new single.

Famous for high energy shows, PocketLove has showcased its explosive sound alongside major acts Tower of Power, Empire of the Sun and Eskimo Joe at festivals, including Caloundra Music Festival, Woodford Folk Festival and many others.

With the powerful vocals of Barbados-born Sharon Brooks at the helm, PocketLove is a fusion of funk, rhythm and soul that electrifies every crowd.

The Zoo release will be supported by Signature Series, described as ‘A shaken martini of Hip Hop, Blues, Classic Soul, Harlem Shuffles & Brooklyn Scuffles. A cinematic sound performed by a crew including horn section, live percussion and samples’.

This will be an awesome night of funk, high energy, horns and Sharon Brooks.
