This is Americana Royalty Tim Easton’s second visit to Australia and he

will have his ninth solo studio album ‘American Fork’ with him on this

trip, described by No Depression as having “*a clear sense of grit and

determination present in these grooves, making ‘American Fork ’Easton’s

toughest and most tenacious effort yet”.*

Tim spent 7 years as a bonefide troubadour on the streets of Europe,

living in Paris, London, Prague, Dublin, before returning to the States to

record 5 acclaimed albums for NEW WEST RECORDS-the first one “The Truth

About Us,” having three fourths of WILCO as his backing band. His songs

tell the stories of his life and traveling, and the stories of those he has

met along the way. They have also earned him support slot tour invitations

from Lucinda Williams (who also sings on one of his albums), John Hiatt,

Steve Earle, and others. He recently reached the 100 Published Songs

milestone and celebrated that by posting 100 performance videos on 100

consecutive days. Rolling Stone Magazine praised him as “having a

novelist’s sense of humanity ” and with his battered black Gibson and

harmonica around his neck his live shows will start by drawing out your

inner ‘Woody Guthrie ’ and by the end of the show have moving as if you are

at an Elmore James show.

Matthew Colin brings with him the values of histories great ramblers, 'a

song and a friend for every mile behind'. It'll only take listening to one

or two lines and you will find he is a man of considered craft, his values

nested in a time of country folk music where all that mattered was the song

itself.
