Coloured Stone formed in 1977 by Bunna Lawrie, lead singer and songwriter. Combining rock, ska and reggae with a unique Aboriginal sound incorporating traditional instruments such as clap sticks, didgeridoo, bundawuthada (gong stone) and traditional language.
Coloured Stone played at the 2000 Olympic Games and at every major Australian Festival including Womadelaide, the 40th anniversary of the Tent Embassy in Canberra, the St Kilda Festival, Garma Festival, Woodford Festival, The Spirit Festival, Rainbow Serpent and many, many more.
